From 1 September 2023 domestic abuse will be a protected ground for discrimination under the Equal Opportunity Act.
This means that complaints can be made to Equal Opportunity SA by someone that is discriminated against in their workplace, in seeking employment, services or a place to live, because of their experience of domestic violence.
