The Diversity and Inclusion in Sports Alliance invites you to share your thoughts on how you think diversity and inclusion are represented in the sports media.
Each day, many of us invite the Australian Sports Media into our lives to communicate the plays, successes, and sports news of the day. But how well are they representing diverse athletes?
Do you think the Australian Sports Media are effectively reporting on women, those from indigenous backgrounds, people with disabilities, or the LGBTIQA+ community?
The Diversity and Inclusion in Sports Alliance invites you to share your thoughts on how you think diversity and inclusion are represented in the sports media. From TV, print media, and online sources - your feedback will be invaluable in helping shape an online panel discussion that will be held in September.
The short survey will take around 5 minutes to complete, and research will be gathered on the following themes:
- The Representation of Diverse Athletes: Do you think media outlets are doing a good enough job of representing diverse athletes?
- The Influence of the Australian Sports Media: How influential do you think the sports media is when shaping perceptions and addressing discrimination in sports?
- The Future of Australian Sports Media: How do you think we can improve the representation of diversity and inclusion in the sports media?
Complete the survey, which will be open until Tuesday, 12th July at 5:00 pm AEST.
